Romanian citizens obstructed the Ukraine checkpoint

The flow of trucks through the Romanian checkpoint “Siret,” located opposite the Ukrainian “Porubne,” is currently at a standstill, reports West Observer.

Farmers in Romania have taken measures to impede the movement of trucks through the Siret checkpoint. The reasons behind this blockade, as well as the anticipated duration, remain unknown. The State Police Service advises that traffic may face complications in both directions.

As of now, there haven’t been significant queues of cargo vehicles towards Ukraine, although 825 cars are registered in the E-queue for departure from Ukraine. The State Border Service of Ukraine reassures that the passage of passenger cars, buses, and pedestrians continues in the usual manner.

It’s worth noting that three checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border remain blocked, with only one operational. Long queues of trucks have formed at the working checkpoint.
